Our Wedding

Swallows have long symbolized the kind of love we believe in, loyal, free-spirited, and full of hope. They are known to choose one partner for life, returning to the same nest year after year. It’s a beautiful reminder that real love isn’t just about finding each other, it’s about choosing each other, again and again. They travel incredible distances, crossing borders and oceans, yet they always find their way back home. Just like love, their journey is full of motion and meaning, rooted in trust, driven by instinct, and guided by something deeper. Swallows also bring with them the promise of good luck, safe returns, and the changing of seasons. To us, they represent everything a shared life can be: a home built together, the thrill of discovery, the strength of commitment, and the belief that no matter where life takes you, the heart always knows where to land. As we prepare to get married, surrounded by the people we hold dear, we carry this symbolism with us. It is our quiet wish for the years ahead, that we may always return to each other with the same devotion, joy, and wide-open hearts.

Getting Here 

For our out of town guests, Prince Edward County is about 2 hours from Toronto. You can either rent a car or take VIA rail to the county. <a href="https://www.viarail.ca/en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.viarail.ca/en</a> From Union Station to Belleville Station. If you are coming in from Pearson Airport you need to take the UP express from the airport to Union Station, it’s a 20 minute train ride and we don’t suggest taking an uber or taxi as traffic in Toronto is unpredictable and often bad. If you are training in we will pick you up or you can arrange a taxi.

Where to Stay 

We highly recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible as the county is a tourist destination and things book up long in advance. There are plenty of places on Airbnb. We live in Wellington Ontario. Anything in the town of Wellington is walkable. The wedding is in Bloomfield and we will have shuttles. The bus will leave at 4pm from Wellington Park (right in Wellington) to bloomfield (10 min).
